Margot Gardin, M.D.

Dr. Margot Gardin is a fellowship-trained anterior segment surgeon specializing in comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, and diseases of the cornea and ocular surface. Dr. Gardin graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College of Columbia University, where she received several academic honors, including induction into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She then earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at NYU Langone Health, followed by a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, the birthplace of modern cataract surgery.

Dr. Gardin is dedicated to helping patients improve their vision and quality of life through thoughtful, patient-centered care and advanced surgical techniques. She performs traditional and laser-assisted cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and in-office laser procedures. She works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan and ensure they feel informed and supported throughout their care.
In addition to caring for her patients, Dr. Gardin has been actively involved in ophthalmic research, conducting research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yale University, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She has authored publications on corneal transplantation, glaucoma, ocular emergencies, and medical education. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals and presented at national meetings. Dr. Gardin is also an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

In her free time, Dr. Gardin enjoys exploring the outdoors, creative writing, and spending time with her family.
